Holy City Swing

If you weren’t at our dance this past Friday, we arrived to a dreadful discovery and learned that virtually all of our free parking we have enjoyed for the last few years has now become extremely expensive parking and the church informed us that it is very likely that the bank parking lot will begin enforcing the boots and tickets anytime now. We are hopeful the church can work out a deal with the bank to begin using those spots again for free, but it is not looking promising at this time.

This is a rather expensive venue for us to rent each week and we do not believe we will be able to maintain consistently high enough attendance to cover the rent with this new parking situation. Thus, we are going to begin an indefinite hiatus from our Friday dances effective immediately as we search for new potential venues.

This does not mean there will be no swing dancing in Charleston in the meantime! We do encourage everyone to attend the Sunday dances with Stephen in West Ashley at Ballroom Dance Charleston from 7-10pm every week! We will also continue hosting occasional classes and events ourselves so keep a lookout for stuff coming up in the future. Please pass the word to your friends!
