Amen. Need some help? DM me. ❤️

The kid version of you that you still carry around in your head and heart needs to trust adult you— that you'll see them, that you'll care for them, that you won't attack or abandon them.

The kid-you inside needs you to be, now, the adult you needed once upon a time.

After trauma, self-trust is often the first thing to fracture. You question your memory. Your instincts. Your reactions. Your decisions. But self-trust doesn’t come back through affirmations alone. It comes back through consistency. Every small promise you keep to yourself says, “I am safe with me. “ Every small decision you make says, “My voice matters.” You don’t need to leap into confidence. You can rebuild it one small act at a time. Comment TRUST or DM me if you would like more info on how to start.

One of the most confusing parts of life after trauma is realizing that the old version of you doesn't quite fit anymore. You're not who you were before. But you're also not who you're becoming yet. That in-between space can feel unsettling - but it's not a mistake. It's where identity begins to rebuild. Post-traumatic growth isn't about going back to who you were. It's about discovering who you are NOW, with more safety, choice, and self-trust. And yes - guidance matters here. DM WHO AM I if you want support rediscovering yourself after trauma.

Sitting in 66 degree weather with the car still running because my grandbaby needs a nap. Feels great outside but she needs the vibration to sleep. 💖😍🤪

You don’t need a dramatic breakthrough to change your life.

Most post-traumatic growth doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from creating enough safety in your body to take the next small step.

When your nervous system feels supported, consistency becomes easier.
Decisions feel clearer.
And growth finally feels sustainable instead of exhausting.

If your progress has been slow lately, that doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It might mean your body is asking for a safer pace.

And that’s not weakness.
That’s wisdom.

Not who you think you should be now.
Not who others expect you to be.

Just… what you honestly miss.

Maybe it’s your laugh.
Your creativity.
Your confidence.
Your sense of ease.
Your playfulness.

That part of you didn’t disappear.
She adapted to survive.

And with safety and support, she can come back—piece by piece.

Most of the things that keep survivors stuck aren't habits or motivation issues. They're beliefs formed in survival. Your mind and body learned what they needed to learn to get you through something hard. That doesn't mean those beliefs belong in your future. Post-traumatic growth isn't about forcing positive thoughts. It's about gently replacing survival beliefs with safety, self-trust, and permission to want more. And yes- this can be done. DM SHIFT if you're ready to start unlearning survival beliefs.
