More than just the Basics:
Sure, sure, I teach BLS a lot, like, A LOT; 7-8x a week… to thousands of students each year. (I can recite the content from memory and occasionally even have dreams about teaching it)
And yeah, I teach 1st Aid regularly as well, at least once a week…
ACLS and PALS you ask, yeah, we do that as well, couple times a month on average.
Skills Checks? Sure, just ask… always time work one in here in there if they aren’t already on the schedule.
Instructor Classes? Absolutely. In fact, we now have 18 other instructors operating under our Official AHA Training Site at various Clinics, Health Care Systems, Colleges, Federal Agencies, Businesses, as well as within various communities around the Southern part of State.
So, we keep growing... and that’s good because that means we keep helping others within the community and around the state.
BUT, beyond this growth, there is still so much more that I/we want to do, more to offer, more to develop… and that is why I/we are always so happy when we get to offer education that it a little more than just the basics…
Recently we held several classes on the proper technique for IV Medlock insertion and drip factor calculations (certainly something advanced professionals learn in school, but when was the last time you actually did one?) It’s nice to be able to expand upon the concepts covered in the advanced classes we already teach and offer more in-depth updated training to professional groups within the community.
