Monday: The November Spotlight video is officially up! Check your Lexis Homepage and watch the Spotlight Video, take a short quiz, and earn 200 points!

Tuesday: It's Canned Immunity Week!!!! Be sure to bring an extra can to the "Table Tip" for this week in the Barrister from noon to 1pm!! Each can you bring will be an additional entry into the End-of-the-Year raffle giveaway! Plus, you get to learn a cool Lexis tip! All cans will be donated to the Food Service Drive Project that the CSOL participates in each year!

Also, an email has been sent to each student in the event that you have missed a "Table Tip!" Please be sure to complete those by the deadline stated in the email!

Everyone, meet Tameika! Tameika is from Mount Vernon, Ga. Before attending CSOL, Tameika attended Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia and earned a B.S. in Sociology. Tameika is a 3L and will be graduating in December 2018. At CSOL, Tameika is a member of Women in Law, FBA, LLSA, and Phi Alpha Delta. In addition to serving as a Lexis Rep, Tameika also serves as the Secretary of BLSA and on the Community Service Committee of the Student Bar Association. After graduation, Tameika plans to pursue a career in criminal defense and public interest law.

Tameika is always on campus, so if there is anything you need help with, don't hesitate to ask her!

We have a lot of important things happening this week with Lexis, but the most important thing is that Lexis is HIRING new Lexis Associates for the Spring semester!

If you are interested in becoming a Lexis Associate, please email me, Laura Glover ([email protected]), your resume and a short informal cover letter explaining why you would be a good Lexis Associate.

Deadline for submitting resumes is Monday, November 5th. Limited to 2Ls and 3Ls.

Meet Jessica! Jessica is currently a 3L, graduating in May 2019. Jessica is interested in pursuing a legal career in Environmental Law and Policy.

Jessica has worked with Lexis last year as a Lexis Student Representative and discovered that she enjoyed the research aspect associated with legal writing.

Jessica is the Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, a Student Ambassador, and an Articles Editor for the Charleston Law Review.

Jessica is originally from Michigan and went to Michigan State for my undergraduate degree.

Meet Victoria, one of our Head Lexis Student Representatives! Victoria is a 3L at CSOL and is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Victoria graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Upon graduation, she began law school at the Charleston School of Law in the Fall of 2016. Victoria is currently in the top 45% of her class and involved in multiple student organizations, which include: Moot Court Board, Trial Advocacy Board, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, James L. Petigru Inn of Court, Student Ambassador, Black Law Students Association, Certified LexisNexis Student Representative, served as a Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing Fellow, Federal Bar Association, and more.

Upon graduation in May 2019, Victoria will receive Juris Doctor degree and plans to pursue a legal career in criminal law. Victoria's long term goal is to become a Supreme Court Justice.

Victoria's Fun Fact: Victoria was born left handed. However, she was taught to write with her right hand which is now her dominant hand.

Meet Ticely, one of our Head Lexis Student Representatives! Ticely is a 3L at CSOL graduating in December 2018. Ticely is from Alpharetta, GA. Ticely is a Double Eagle, obtaining two degrees from Georgia Southern University: a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Communications with a minor in Journalism and a Master of Arts and Social Sciences in Sociology.

Ticely has been involved in multiple activities and organizations while in law school, including: being a Certified LexisNexis Student Representative, a Student Ambassador, the Secretary and Vice President of CSOL's Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, member of the Black Law Students Association and Women in Law, working in the library at CSOL, and more.

Upon graduation this December, Ticely will receive Juris Doctor degree and plans to pursue a legal career in Mass Media Law.

Ticely's Fun Fact: Ticely's body is a registered weapon (1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo)!
