📚❤️ REMINDER: PRESCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY! ❤️📚

Just a friendly reminder that Immanuel Lutheran Preschool will be CLOSED this Monday for Teacher Institute Day.

While we know a day off from preschool can be an inconvenience for families, our staff will be putting the day to good use! Our entire staff will be participating in CPR and emergency response training so that we are prepared to respond quickly and confidently should an emergency ever arise.

Keeping your children safe, healthy, and well cared for is one of our highest priorities. Continuing education and hands-on training help equip our teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to provide the best possible care for your little ones. We’re thankful for the opportunity to invest in our staff—and ultimately, in the children and families we serve! 💙

🏫 And don’t forget about our Open House!
Join us Monday evening from 4:00–6:00 PM to stop by, see your child’s classroom, meet their teachers, and get ready for the year ahead! We’d love to see you!

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, August 7, our East side parking lot will be closed through next week as we begin an exciting playground upgrade!

We're replacing our playground rocks with a brand-new poured rubber safety surface to create a safer, more accessible play space for our students. 🎉

This project has been a long time coming, and we couldn't be more excited to see it become a reality! It is only possible because of the incredible support of our preschool families and community through years of fundraising, along with a generous grant from the Charleston Charitable Foundation. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this dream possible!

🚗 During construction, please park in the South parking lot and walk your child to and from their classroom for both drop-off and pick-up. This will help keep everyone safe while work is being completed.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we make these exciting improvements. We can't wait to share our beautiful new playground with all of our preschool families!

📢 **Important Tuition Payment Update** 📢

Dear Preschool Families,

Beginning September 1, 2026, Immanuel Lutheran Preschool will no longer be accepting debit card payments for tuition. This change is being made because we will soon begin incurring processing fees on every debit card transaction. Rather than passing those additional costs along to all of our families through higher tuition or fees, we have chosen to discontinue debit card payments.

If you are currently paying by debit card, please take a few moments to set up a new payment method before September 1 to ensure your tuition payments continue without interruption.

Accepted payment methods include:
✔️ ACH/Bank Draft
✔️ Credit Card
✔️ Check

If you need assistance updating your payment method or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the preschool office. We're happy to help!

Today our preschool friends practiced a fire drill! We talked about listening carefully, walking safely, and following our teachers—and our students did an amazing job! 👏❤️

While we hope we never need to use these skills in a real emergency, practicing helps everyone know exactly what to do and keeps our school prepared.

At Immanuel Lutheran Preschool, the safety and well-being of every child is one of our greatest priorities. 🌪️ Tornado Drill Completed This Morning 🌪️

This morning, our preschool students and staff successfully completed a tornado drill as part of our ongoing commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.

Our teachers did a wonderful job helping the children remain calm while practicing what to do in the event of severe weather. We are proud of how well our students listened, followed directions, and worked together throughout the drill.

Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. Practicing these procedures helps ensure that everyone is prepared should a real emergency ever arise.

Today, our preschoolers celebrated the 4th of July with a fun parade around the building, proudly showing off their patriotic spirit while family and friends cheered them on!

After the parade, everyone enjoyed popsicles and time together on the playground. Thank you to all the parents and families who came out to celebrate with us and help make the day so special for our students.
