Thank you to our instructors for pouring into these dancers all week long! From Ballet Technique, Variations, 4Pointe, PBT, Partnering, and Contemporary, you created a well-rounded program that everyone got to learn from!

Intensives are the perfect time to deep dive into artistry and technique. Whether just for fun, research as a dance teacher, or conditioning as a dancer, there is something for everyone here at BAC.

Progressing Ballet Technique - Adult Intensive 🩰

“Progressing Ballet Technique is a body-conditioning and strengthening program designed specifically for dancers. It was built to develop the strength, muscle memory, and body awareness that transforms how they move, feel, and perform.

PBT works from the inside out: through a graded series of exercises using equipment such as exercise balls and resistance bands, dancers develop precise alignment, coordination, and control, supported by music and guided by an understanding of both technical and artistic development.

Informed by anatomy, motor learning, and movement science, PBT is trusted by teachers, professional dancers, and sports physiotherapists worldwide as effective for injury prevention and rehabilitation as it is for technical growth.”

We are so grateful for our very own Jess Lighthart for being proficient in PBT, and that our Adult Summer Intensive dancers got a taste for this class!

Our second round of partnering brought us an even deeper understanding of trust, building confidence, and finding balance!

We are now HALFWAY through our 2026 Adult Summer Intensive and these dancers are loving it! 👏🏻💕

Adult Intensive 2026: Day 1! 🩰

Today we welcomed dancers from all over Charleston, and some from out of the state, into our studios to begin our Adult Intensive!

We started strong with Ballet Technique & Partnering in the morning, and our dancers had so much fun!

Whether it’s a long-awaited return to dance or brushing up on skills before starting a new year as a teacher, this intensive is made with everyone in mind!

Registration will look a little different this year 👀 We just made the switch to Mindbody, so even if you have previously held accounts with us, we ask that you take an extra moment to set up your parent portal on this new platform (our website will take you straight to where you need to go)!
