Final Assignment for Urban Design Seminar II!

Students will be working in teams to prepare a response to a hypothetical RFP for one of the three pictured sites. Their designs must include nature based solutions, mixed-use development, stormwater/sea level rise resilience and more!

Today students had the pleasure of hearing from our second candidate for the assistant professor role, Dr. Wei Liu. Dr. Liu gave a fantastic presentation describing how his interpretation of sustainable and resilient urban design has evolved throughout his time in academia as well as in his professional life. Yesterday we heard from our first candidate for the Assistant Professor position at the CDCC, Erin Stevens.

Erin presented on her academic and professional careers as well as how growing up on the nearby barrier island, Isle of Palms, influences her practice as a Landscape Architect in the Lowcountry!
