Hi Classmates and Friends, Happy Valentine's Day

There was something magical about those classroom Valentine’s Days—the smell of crayons, the frantic last‑minute gluing, the way every kid suddenly became an artist and a romantic all at once.

Decorating those bags felt like preparing a tiny treasure chest. You’d fold the top just right, write your name in your best handwriting, and then go wild with stickers, crooked hearts, and whatever glitter the teacher regretted handing out. And then came the real thrill: watching them fill up, one by one, with notes from classmates who—at least for that day—were all friends.
It’s funny how something so simple could feel so big. A whole world of excitement in a brown paper lunch sack.

Squirrel Appreciation Day in 2026 -January 21st (Wednesday). This day is celebrated to express gratitude for squirrels and their role in 'High School and beyond" It's an opportunity to observe and appreciate these charming creatures. -Nancy

Well this just happened .... I got a facetime video call from SHS '67 Reunion... I thought wait a minute, what's this... then our SHS '67 crew faces popped up in little boxes on my phone, not knowing what just happened.... Wel hi, We couldn't figure out who push the button that summoned the team lol- Oh well, it was fun seeing everyone.

We may be getting together again - in person- in April. If you want to join us just make a comment in the comment box below 😁😂🤣

Growing Old, Growing Bold

Despite all these mishaps, getting
old is not without its perks. You get senior discounts, you can nap guilt-free, and best of all, people find your forgetfulness oddly endearing. Sure, I may forget where I left my phone, my glasses, or even what day it is—but I never forget to laugh at myself. After all, if you can’t laugh at your own antics, getting old would be a lot less fun.

So here’s to aging: may our phones stay out of the fridge, our glasses stay on our noses, and our sense of humor never grow old. -Nancy
