The Citadel Mechanical Engineering

Earlier this month, The Citadel School of Engineering hosted an in-person career expo. Cadets and students had the opportunity to network with 20+ employers in the brand new Swain Boating Center!

Seniors, we are beyond proud of your hard work and dedication up to this point, and it was the department's honor to present your rings at the Order of the Engineer Ceremony this past Tuesday night! During this event, students received a certificate and solid silver pinky ring, worn on the working hand. This ring signifies the obligation of an engineer to pursue excellence and selfless service to the profession and the public during their career. The spirit of this event seeks to celebrate the pride and responsibility students pursuing the profession have worked diligently to earn. Seniors, congratulations on your induction into the order! Congratulations are in order for Cadet Emma Mazur! She is a Mechanical Engineering major from Daniel island, SC. Emma is a recipient of the LIFE scholarship courtesy of the South Carolina Education Lottery and is aspiring to contract with the United States Marine Corps. When asked about how she obtained the scholarship, Emma shared: “I worked very hard in high school academically so that I could get this scholarship to help pay for college. This scholarship is one of the reasons why I was able to come here. My parents worked very hard for me to come here and I am glad that I am able to take some stress off their shoulders and do my part in working for my education.”
