Calling all magic makers!

We are gearing up for our Holiday Shop next week and are looking for a few people to help turn our shop into a magical winter wonderland! We'll get started at 9:30 am this Friday, December 5. If you are an approved volunteer and would like to help decorate/setup, please email [email protected].

A message from Mrs. Shaffer:

Just a reminder our Back to School Night is tonight from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. All parents and students will need to enter through door 6. Kindergarten should attend the 5 p.m. presentation, first grade is at 5:30 and second grade is at 6 p.m. You only need to attend one parent presentation with Mrs. Shaffer in the gym!

We're gearing up for a new school year! This year's back to school open house will be Friday, August 15 from 5-7pm. Each grade will begin in the gym as follows:

K 5:00 pm
1 5:30 pm
2 6:00 pm

We can’t wait to welcome students back to school on Monday, August 18! Check out www.jcswv.org/myschoolbus to look up your student’s bus details and complete any necessary transportation forms. And starting August 11, our friendly transportation staff will be calling JCS families to answer your transportation questions and make sure you're all set for the first day!

Whew what a day! Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer today! We couldn’t have pulled it off without all of you! To our staff for hanging in there with the changes, thank you. The biggest thank you goes to Mr Cummings and Mrs Simpson for organizing and reorganizing the stations at the last minute. We even got to surprise the whole school at recess by having the dunk tank! Mr Cummings sat thru all 3 grades, 360 students!

Thank you to everyone for being patient with all of the scheduling and rescheduling due to the weather-we made it to the finish before the storm hit!

2 more weeks of school left! 🐼

Unfortunately with the forecast tomorrow the school made the decision today to move field day inside for the safety of the students. Please know this decision was not made lightly and we understand any frustrations you may have.
At this time the plan is Kindergarten and 1/2 of 1st grade in the morning and 2nd grade and 1/2 of 1st grade in the afternoon. We are doing our absolute best to redo the schedule of volunteers however not every volunteer will be able to be with their student as we previously scheduled. There have been many changes to the stations and we have eliminated all water stations because of the setup they require.

Please be patient with us as we navigate these changes. If you can no longer volunteer, please let us know ASAP as we will be working on a new schedule tonight for tomorrow.
