There is something special about the people who greet our students. From Dads at the Door welcoming our Wildcats with smiles, encouragement, and a high five, to our amazing bus drivers who safely bring our students to and from school, our children are surrounded by incredible examples of kindness, service, responsibility, and faith.

Our students are watching. They are learning from the adults who show up, serve others, encourage them, and make them feel valued.

We are grateful for the men and women who give their time and hearts to our students. Thank you for being the kind of examples we hope our Wildcats will grow to be!

What a great reminder that sometimes the most powerful lessons aren’t taught in a classroom—they’re lived out right in front of us. ❤️

What a GREAT day to be a Wildcat! 💙💛

We started our first day of school with a special IC tradition—gathering outside with our students and families to celebrate the beginning of a new school year! There were lots of smiles, hugs, excitement, and a whole lot of Wildcat pride. 🐾

We also gathered for our all-school picture on the playground, and our students looked absolutely wonderful in their new uniforms! A special THANK YOU to the generous families who donated clothes to every student at our school. Your kindness and generosity are an example of our IC community taking care of one another. ❤️

And the excitement continued! Mike Molstead Motors generously provided every student with an activity pass to attend Comet home games when accompanied by an adult. What a wonderful way to encourage our students and families to be part of our community!

Today reminded us once again that IC is more than a school—we are a community. We are so thankful for our students, families, staff, and community partners who make this such a special place.

IC Fall Festival Community Meal is Sunday, August 30th at 11am to 1pm at the Columbus Club in Charles City. Join us for great Hot Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, dinner roll, pie and drink all for $15. Dine in, carry out and Charles City delivery options are available. Kids Meal includes a hot dog, applesauce, bag of chips and cookie for $5 OR it's free when dining in with a paying adult. All are welcome.

💙 Many Parts. One Purpose. 💙

What a gift it is to work alongside such an amazing group of educators! Each person brings their own unique gifts, talents, experiences, and heart to the work we do—and together, those gifts make a difference in the lives of our students.

At the heart of what we do is our faith. We are blessed to be able to teach, encourage, guide, and care for children while helping them grow not only as learners, but as people of faith and kindness. We pray, we trust, we serve, and we do our best each day to follow where God is leading us.

This group represents so many people who truly care about kids and want what is best for them. ❤️ Our work may look different from person to person, but our purpose remains the same: to help each child know they are loved, valued, capable, and created by God for a special purpose.

So grateful for these amazing educators and all they bring to our school community! 🐾💙

We’re Excited to See You Today!

We are excited to welcome you to the school building today! Here’s what you need to know:

📅 Today | 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

📸 School Pictures: Pictures will be taken in the school gym.
👩‍🏫 Meet Your Teacher: Stop by and meet your teacher and see your classroom.
💬 Open House-Style Conferences: Teachers will be available throughout the day.
🎒 Bring School Supplies: Students are welcome to bring their school supplies and leave them in their classrooms.
👕 What to Wear for Pictures: Students may wear their school uniform for pictures or choose an outfit of their own.

No problem! Stop by the school office, and we will be happy to help you find your way.

✨ A Day of Faith, Learning & Teamwork! ✨

Our IC staff began the day by attending Mass together, grounding ourselves in faith and the mission we share. 🙏💙

Then it was time to learn and grow together as we worked on “Igniting Tier 1 Instruction.” Our teachers are a dedicated team, always looking for ways to strengthen instruction and help our students become successful, confident learners! 📚🐾

We are so excited to see our students and families tomorrow for Open House-style conferences and pictures! 📸

🐾 The Wildcats are back! 💙💛

The halls of IC are coming alive again as our teachers are back in the building—and we couldn’t be more excited! 📚✨

Our staff kicked things off with some learning, laughter, and a little friendly competition at our annual Rock Paper Scissors Tournament! ✊📄✂️

🏆 Congratulations to Mrs. Fank, this year’s champion! 🎉

One of the things that makes our IC family so special is that we stay connected even when school is out. Throughout the summer, our staff has gathered for coffee, conversations, and time together. ☕️❤️

Today, we also had the chance to see all the places and ways we shared Jesus this summer—reminders that our mission doesn’t stop when the school year ends. We are blessed to have a staff that continues to grow, learn, support one another, and live out our faith together.

The building is getting ready. The teachers are getting ready. And soon… our Wildcats will be back! 🐾
