We were treated to some excitement today with the mobile pep rally for the Comets’ Homecoming! 🎉📣 We cheered them on and hope to celebrate a BIG WIN! 🏆

The day ended with Fun Pass Friday for our students who have had ZERO tardies since school started! 🎟️🎉

Wildcats, we want you here—and we want you here ON TIME! Being present and on time means more opportunities to learn, grow, and be part of all the fun! 📚💙

What a great way to end the week! Go COMETS!

🚜 Farm Safety Day! 🌾

Our 4th graders had a great day learning important farm safety skills at the Floyd County Fairgrounds! From equipment and animal safety to making smart choices around the farm, our students were engaged, learning, and having fun.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this hands-on learning experience possible! 💙🐄

Hello IC Families, Parish Members, and Supporters,

Our Scrip program has been part of our school and parish community for many years. It has provided generous fundraising support to IC School and Faith Formation without requiring our students to sell products. We are very grateful to the families and parishioners who have supported Scrip over the years, as well as the dedicated volunteers who have given countless hours to make the program possible.
When the program began, rebates were higher and Scrip was used more widely by our school families and parish community. In recent years, however, participation and purchases have steadily declined. At the same time, the cost of shipping physical cards has increased, while the rebates received have decreased. Because the program was funded through the school's portion of the rebates, it has no longer generated enough to cover the time and resources needed to continue operating it. The Scrip Program has been operating in the RED for the last couple of years. There was no hope of seeing positive revenue in the months and years ahead.
After careful consideration, IC School has decided to discontinue Scrip as a school fundraiser.
Please note the following important dates and information:

Physical Card Pre-Orders: Paid pre-orders for physical cards will be accepted through
September 30 at 4:00 p.m.

Pennies from Heaven: Local Pennies from Heaven must be spent by September 30.

Business Reimbursement: Businesses accepting Pennies from Heaven should turn in their paper Scrip by October 15 for payment.

Physical Cards in Inventory: Cards currently in our inventory will continue to be available for purchase while supplies last.
Beginning Oct. 1, 100% of the rebate will be going directly to IC School.

Online eCards: Online eCards will remain available through Christmas, with 100% of the rebate going directly to IC School.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Scrip throughout the years and especially to the volunteers who have generously shared their time and talents to make this program possible.
As we move forward, we will continue exploring other fundraising opportunities that can provide meaningful support and help to offset tuition costs for our families.
Thank you for supporting IC School and for helping make this program such a meaningful part of our school community over the years.

🙏💙 Time with God & Second Grade 💙🙏

Today our second graders spent a beautiful day with Fr. Ivan as part of their retreat, planned by Mrs. Hoppel, as they prepare to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

We visited St. Anthony of Padua, shared a prayer service, and spent quiet time on a nature walk reflecting with God. The students thought about times when we sin, how we can ask for forgiveness, and the ways we can grow closer to God. ❤️

We ended our day with a tour of the beautiful Bily Clocks—a wonderful way to finish a meaningful day of faith, reflection, and learning!

As these second graders prepare to meet Jesus in a very special way through the sacraments, we pray that they continue to open their hearts to Him, seek His forgiveness, and recognize His presence in their everyday lives. May this be the beginning of a deeper, lifelong relationship with Jesus—one that they carry with them long after their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. ✝️💙
