Good morning FireBolts fans!!! It's looking great here in KC! After a long day of tough competition yesterday we are back and ready for round 2! We will have two matches today with the first one at 10:20 and the second at 11:22. We are currently in 25th place after a few setbacks yesterday. Among other things we have learned here in KC, we found out that it is not impossible to bend a steel hexrod! After a mishap on the field, a steel rod used in our intake was bent beyond repair. Thankfully many other teams came to the rescue! We ended up securing a replacement part and are back and ready for some action.

We had a great start to the day here in KC!! With a record of 3/4 wins. We are currently in 11th place. A big thank you to the Kansas STEM alliance for hosting a Women in STEM lunchon for our female members! It was a great opportunity for them to learn about their options and hear some words of encouragement! As we head into the next half of the day be sure to cheer us on from where ever you are! 🔥⚙️

We had a great weekend at UNI, placing 35th overall. We had many takeaways from this competition and are currently improving the robot for our competition in Kansas City (April 8-11). Thank you to all of those who came down to support us!

We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing sponsors who made our journey to the FIRST Robotics Iowa Regional at UNI possible!

Because of your support, our team had the opportunity to design, build, and compete with our robot, placing 35th out of 53 teams. During the competition, we faced our share of struggles and bumps in the road—but by working together, we pushed through challenges, learned from setbacks, and grew stronger as a team.

Your continued support has made it possible for us to participate in a second regional this year by helping us cover travel expenses and registration fees. We look forward to our next competition: the Greater Kansas City Regional in Lee’s Summit, MO, April 8-11. We look forward to continuing to improve and grow as a team at this event.

Beyond the competitions, we gained hands-on experience in engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving that will stick with us for years to come.

Thank you for believing in our team and investing in the next generation of innovators. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Hats off to Zoetis, Cambrex, Gene Haas Foundation, Central Park Dentistry, Argosy Foundation, Fareway Stores, CUSB Bank, The Optometric Center, Main Street Drug, Quality Auto Service, Lessin Supply, L&J Industries, Edward Jones, Franklin Financial, Inc, The Insurance Company, The Lion's Club, Valero, First Security Bank & Trust and First Citizens Bank.
