Charger MEN - mentoreducatenurture

Charger MEN - mentoreducatenurture The Charger M.E.N. program was established in 2012. This program was established to allow men in ou (Mentor-Educate-Nurture) program was established in 2012.

This program is a vehicle for positive male role models in our community to volunteer a day in the classrooms of the Chariton Community School District grades K-8. To be a part of this great program, you need to do three simple things. One, fill out a background sheet to ensure our students are protected. Two, buy our shirt ($10) to let students know why you are at the school, and three find a day

to volunteer during the months of November - April. This can all be done in the offices of Columbus(K-2), Van Allen(3-5), and the Chariton Middle School(6-8). While volunteering for the day, you will be able to help students. You might listen to them read, help solve a math problem, or be part of a group discussion. You will also be able to visit different specials like PE, go to recess, and enjoy a school lunch, yum. We already have men in the community signing up, but we still need more. I know it's hard to give up your time, but the impact you can have on a child is time well spent. Lastly, I would like to thank all the men who have volunteered in the past and to those who will in the future. Charger MEN coordinator
