Obituary for Penelope "Penny" DeGreen Wing
Penelope “Penny” Wing, age 76, of Leroy Twp. for the past 50 years and Sanford FL, passed away on June 19, 2024 at the University Hospital’s Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born October 13, 1947 in Chardon, Ohio.

In her earlier years, Penny worked as an accountant for the M.A. Hannah Company in downtown Cleveland. After retirement, she worked with her beloved husband in their business, Wing Electric. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her two Australian Shepherds, Joey and Carley, as well as her entire family. Trips to her Florida residence, as well as Tygart Lake in Grafton, West Virginia truly brought Penny happiness.

Survivors include her brother, John (Hildie) DeGreen; nieces and nephews, John J. (Maura) DeGreen, Lisa DeGreen-Jones, and her great-nephews; John and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur J. “Bill” Wing; and her parents, John Jr. and Margaret DeGreen;

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH.

A funeral service to conclude the gathering will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor, OH.
