NDMS celebrated Spirit Week with lunchtime activities and dress down days. From a dirty soda bar, to a Sundae bar, to a Cane‘s lunch, we celebrated all week!

Friday was a special day for our NDMS students with siblings at NDCL - Sibs Day!! Lil’ Sibs attended NDCL for the day and experienced the homecoming pep rally, which included a faculty vs student volleyball game and the crowning of Homecoming King and Queen.

Thank you, NDPA for bringing the fun!

Last week, we celebrated Fire Prevention Week with a special visit from the Munson Fire Department.

Our PreK through 2nd grade students had the opportunity to learn important fire safety tips - and the highlight of the day was exploring a real fire truck and ambulance!

Thank you Inspector Doug and Munson Fire for teaching us Fire Prevention!

Notre Dame Schools went international today!

This morning, NDCL hosted Sisters of Notre Dame from 8 different countries. The sisters toured the building, met with our students and got to experience all the GOOD NEWS happening with our Lions!

This afternoon, they spent time at Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School. They toured the building, attended a prayer service with grades K-5 and met students and faculty.

Our student tour guides at both buildings showed their love of our schools and our appreciation for our sisters. We are grateful for the time spent together!

Kindergarten Butterfly Experience

Each year, Sister Barbara brings the wonder of nature into our Kindergarten classrooms!

She teaches students about the life cycle of a butterfly and brings caterpillars into the classroom for students to observe as they grow and transform. The students eagerly watch as the caterpillars form their chrysalises and eventually emerge as beautiful butterflies.

Once the butterflies are ready, Sister Barbara joins the students in releasing them, creating a memorable hands-on learning experience for our young scientists!

We are thankful for the constant loving support and learning from Sister Barbara and the entire SND community!

Last week, our 3rd and 8th grade volleyball players enjoyed a special evening of community and school spirit!

The students practiced together before heading to CYO and Youth Sports Night at NDCL, where they cheered on the NDCL volleyball team and enjoyed spending time together.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our younger and older students to build connections, share their love of athletics, and strengthen our Notre Dame community!

Last Monday, Notre Dame Middle School sent students to the 10th annual STEM Goes Red event at the Great Lakes Science Center. This event, sponsored by the American Heart Association, connects young women with professionals in STEM fields.

"STEM careers drive innovation, strengthen our economy and improve lives. Women remain significantly underrepresented in many STEM professions, particularly women of color. Although women earn more than half of all college degrees, they are still less likely to pursue and remain in STEM careers.

By introducing students to role models, real-world applications and career opportunities at an early age, STEM Goes Red helps bridge this gap and empowers young people to envision a future in STEM."

Three NDMS students are featured in this clip from WKYC Channel 3!

Thank you Mrs. Davis for your continued support and encouragement of this annual trip.

Our 5th graders began the Geauga Parks year-long nature education enrichment program “Nature Scopes”!

Our campus provides a beautiful backdrop for this science instruction that supports Ohio Science Content Standards for fifth graders.

How many Notre Dame graduates still have their binoculars from this program?

Thank you to the Geauga Parks naturalists and all who support the Foundation for Geauga Parks!
