🎬 Meet the Production Staff 🎬

Katie Murray (Co-Director) is the co-founder of Chapmanville Intermediate School’s Little Tiger Theatre Program, and she is always honored to serve as Co-Director for its productions. She attended Marshall University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2016 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2020. She’s been teaching for Logan County Schools for seven years, and she currently teaches third grade at Chapmanville Intermediate School. Katie has a true passion for working with the Arts. This will be her fifth season directing for the Little Tigers Theatre Program. When she isn’t pouring her heart into productions with The Little Tigers, she is working with the local community theatre company, Southern Coalition for the Arts. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts as the Director of Education. She is also fortunate enough to serve on the directing staff for productions with the company. Some of her favorite directing opportunities include directing Seussical Jr. with The Little Tigers, assistant directing To Kill a Mockingbird with the Arts, and co-directing Moana, Jr. with the Arts. Her greatest love in theatre is watching others discover their own greatness and showcase it to the world on a stage. She feels there is no greater gift than watching someone discover the magic that lives within. Katie shared, “I dedicate this production, as well as all other productions I’m privileged enough to be involved with, to my sister, Jessie. She is my inspiration and the reason I ever fell in love with theatre. She led me to my love of directing and showed me the way to my home in the theatre. She’s the reason we started this program, and I know she would be in awe of the amazing talent that has walked through our program over the last seven years. I hope that I’m making her proud and honoring her memory in all that I do. This one’s for you, Jessie-my kAnga forever.”
