Student Council presents the Pumpkin Walk Contest!
Important Reminders:
To ensure a fair contest, pumpkins should be student-created with parent assistance only. Students should contribute the
idea, select the materials, and create their pumpkin. Participation is optional.
PUMPKIN CHECK-IN
Friday, October 16 | 7:00–7:45 AM
● Check-in will take place outside the cafeteria near the cafeteria playground, where display tables will be set up
● Parents and Student Council volunteers will assist students with carrying pumpkins as needed.
● If your pumpkin is large or fragile, please park and walk with your child around the building to check in.
● Please plan ahead for your pumpkin's size, decorations, transportation, and arrival time.
Reminder: The tardy bell rings at 7:40 AM. Please allow enough time to check in your pumpkin so that your child gets
to class on time.
CONTEST & WINNERS
Throughout the school day, staff, teachers, and students will each receive one ticket to vote for their favorite pumpkin.
Winners will be announced at 1:30 PM and called to the office to receive their prizes.
PUMPKIN PICK-UP
After the winners are announced, students may:
● Take their pumpkins home at dismissal, OR
● Leave their pumpkins on display for Chapin Elementary's Trunk-or-Treat that evening and take them home
afterward.
Please make sure your child knows whether to take their pumpkin home or leave it on display. Pumpkins left at
school after Trunk-or-Treat will be disposed of.
