Chapin Dance Team

⭐️We are excited to partner with the Chapin We Care Center during our 2026 Chapin Dance Team Little Girls Clinic!⭐️

As we spend the week learning, dancing, and shining together, we also want to give our dancers the opportunity to give back to our community. Throughout clinic week, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items and essential toiletries for local families in need. Donations can be brought in any day of clinic!

Most needed items include:
• Vienna sausages
• Boxed pasta
• Pancake mix & syrup
• Oatmeal & breakfast bars
• Soup, grits, canned peas
• Toiletries & cleaning supplies

Every small donation makes a BIG impact. Thank you for helping us stay gold on and off the dance floor!

The Chapin Varsity Dance Team was proudly recognized by the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives in celebration of our 2026 accomplishments, including the 2026 Contest of Champions National Championship title in Hip Hop, 2026 SC Dance Association (SCDA) State Championship titles in Jazz, Lyrical, and Pom, and four SCDA Grand Championships.

We are especially grateful to Representative Nathan Ballentine for helping make this unforgettable experience possible for our dance team. We would also like to give heartfelt thanks to Ronnie Cromer for recognition from the Senate. Your support of these student athletes means more than you know.

We are incredibly proud to represent Chapin High School, our community, and the state of South Carolina!

Because Chapin Dance Team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and NOT part of Chapin High School Athletics , we do not receive ANY district funding. We raise all of our support through fundraising and events like the 2026 Chapin Dance Team Little Girls Clinic!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Brianna Valverde 🦅
We are so proud of Brianna and all she has accomplished during her time with the Chapin Dance Team. A lifelong dancer, Brianna brought talent, dedication, and heart to our program over the past two seasons. She is headed to East Carolina University where she will major in Biology with plans of becoming an Orthodontist. Brianna is also excited to continue dancing at the collegiate level as part of the East Carolina University Dance Team! We can't wait to see all she accomplishes next!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Evangelin Cooper 🦅
In her own words:

"Seven years ago, I joined this team not knowing how much it would change me. I found more than just a place to Dance, I found a family, a support system, and some of my best friends.
To my teammates: thank you for pushing each other to be our very best and for the tears, the laughs, and every moment in between. I'll never forget the feeling of stepping onto the floor together, knowing we had each other no matter what.
To my coaches: thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and helping me grow. Everything you've taught me will stay with me far beyond this chapter. It's hard to say goodbye to something that has meant so much to me, but l'm so grateful for every memory. A part of me will always belong here. Next up: Clemson University Honors College as a Business major! 🧡 💜 Chapin Girls rock-woot woot & curtsy."

Our Varsity and JV Dance Teams had the BEST time visiting our community elementary schools this morning and bringing the energy to carline! 💙✨

We can’t wait to dance with our future Eagles at our annual Chapin Dance Team Little Girls Clinic June 22–25 at Chapin High School! The 2026–2027 mascots will be selected during camp, and trust us… you won’t want to miss the most fun week of the summer! ⭐️

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Mary Wells 🦅
Our next Senior we would like to recognize is Mary Wells. We are so proud of her for an incredible senior year and all she has accomplished. A six-year member of the Chapin Dance Team and four-year Varsity dancer, she has led with heart, dedication, and positivity serving as Co-Captain this season! Mary is headed to Clemson University to major in Business, and we can't wait to see all that's ahead for her!
