This man. A great example of someone who used art to figure out life and stayed human while he was doing it, a aster class in a life long career of kindness and curiosity. When I turned thirty two, I wrote thank you sentences to several people who had influenced my development as an adult and his lyrics for the remake of A Star Is Born, penned with Barbara Streisand, were on rotation for much of my tweendom and had a major impact on my conceit of what being a grown woman meant. He was the only person who wrote back...sending his own thank you for letting him know that his art had a positive impact on someone. I hope you are around a cosmic fire, jamming with your old buddies and writing songs that make the angels weep in empathy for eternity. Thank you for the beauty you made in your time on this planet.
Kris Kristofferson, Country Singer, Songwriter and Actor, Dies at 88
He wrote songs for hundreds of other artists, including “Me and Bobby McGee” for Janis Joplin and “Sunday Morning Coming Down” for Johnny Cash, before a second act in film.

A first act set that is a celebration of the real Jean Francois Millet. Come see the fictious shenigans which ensue when he fakes his death in Mark Twain's IS HE DEAD?

Remember how I've been saying that black women are tearing it up artistically and are the new wave of the American Theatrical voice? Great Bazaar article lifting up many of the artists who have led me to this conclusion.....https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/film-tv/a45830148/black-storytellers-remaking-american-theater-interview-2023/?fbclid=IwAR1VkxAH5C704pbQxuKHLw-ZnyE1Y8XivPU6wrVzXhgCPlQprluRtVxCy8w
