Amrita Shetty serves as Practice Manager for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology π€° at the University of Colorado Anschutz ποΈ Driven by a longstanding passion for womenβs health, Amrita was drawn to OB/GYN management through her desire to help create meaningful change and ensure women have access to the high-quality care they deserve π In her role, she focuses on supporting both patients and teams while advancing excellence in maternal-fetal healthcare delivery π₯
Since joining AMGO in 2023, Amrita has embraced opportunities to connect with OB/GYN leaders nationwide and currently serves as Co-Chair for this yearβs AMGO conference. She values the organization as a space for collaboration π€ shared learning π₯ and leadership development π©βπ« Amrita encourages new leaders to invest time in building relationships with their teams and not hesitate to ask questions πββοΈ along the way.

β¨Member Spotlight: Desmond Cutler, BS β¨
Desmond serves as Associate Director for Administration for the Division of General Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Midwifery at the University of North Carolina, where he partners closely with clinical leadership to oversee operations, strategy, staffing, budgeting, and growth for a large and multifaceted division. In his role, Desmond helps lead administrative efforts supporting more than 60 providers while managing the day-to-day complexities of a dynamic OB/GYN practice environment.
Originally entering OB/GYN management through a well-timed opportunity, Desmond quickly found that the specialty was a natural fit. He values the detailed operational insight and collaborative nature of the field, which has allowed him to deepen his expertise and expand his leadership skills. Since joining AMGO, he has appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues π broaden his professional network π€and learn π€ from experienced OB/GYN leaders across the country βοΈ
Desmond encourages new OB/GYN managers to be patient, take time to learn the full scope of the specialty, and build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and institutional partners. He believes that visibility, collaboration, and understanding the broader operational landscape are essential to success in the role π
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two children, parents, friends and family β€οΈ and looks forward to one of his favorite hobbies of growing between 50-70 varieties of vegetables each year π₯π₯¬π₯¦π₯π½
