First-Year Experience: Trinidad| Deadline: October 4, 2019
First Year Experience: Trinidad is an opportunity provided by the Center for Global Initiatives, Carolina Housing and the University of the West Indies at St. Augustine. This interactive, five-day, fully funded global opportunity is led by faculty and staff and is specifically designed for first-year and transfer students living on campus with limited to no travel experience and demonstrated financial need. Next Level Fellowship| Deadline: November 11, 2019
The UNC Next Level Fellowship provides funding for two undergraduate students to participate in a U.S. government-sponsored cultural exchange program that sends American hip hop artists to work in underserved communities around the world to promote global community, entrepreneurship, and conflict transformation. The fellowship takes place over the course of Spring Break (March 8-14, 2020). Through this experience, fellows Serve as cultural ambassadors, learn about the history and workings of U.S. cultural diplomacy, interact with U.S. and Bolivian hip hop artists, develop skills in cultural diplomacy, and research and intercultural exchange.
