Students and postdocs are invited to join a Career Chat with the (national) AAPS Board of Directors today at NOON (EST):

Launching a career in 2020, whether in academia, industry, or government, is presenting a new set of challenges for students and postdocs, which is leading to questions about the future of the pharmaceutical sciences and where they will find a place in it.

The AAPS Board of Directors think today’s emerging scientists have a bright future ahead of them and would like to talk about your concerns and answer your questions so you can share in their enthusiasm for your future.

Industry Careers Overview and Job Packages 04/20/2020

Tomorrow (Tues. 4/21 @ noon-1:30) there is a NIH Webinar describing the different roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Here is a description and a link to the webinar:
"A key difference between industry and academia is that in industry you are expected to produce something of value to your company and the shareholders - this is the business side of science. A PhD scientist can assume numerous roles in an industry setting. This session will highlight these career opportunities and provide insight into how to position yourself (including building your resume and cover letters) to be competitive for these jobs."
