From there, educators were off to Latin America for an engaging session with Dr. Jonathan Hartlyn to learn about the diversity of countries in the region and their unique systems of government, global influence, and economies. Educators reflected on their knowledge and opportunities to take a deeper dive into Dr. Hartlyn's research!

Today educators at the Global Education Leaders Program heard a fascinating talk from Dr. Morgan Pitelka on "Three Important Aspects of U.S.-Japan Relations." Dr. Pitelka provided insight into the complexities of Japanese history and discussed how educators can share more about Japan's political, economic, and cultural significance on the world stage with their students!

Educators then engaged with Dr. Bob Jenkins of the UNC Department of Political Science who guided our leaders through the history of the European Union and the collaboration among its institutions! Dr. Jenkins deepened our understanding of the 's evolution and impact!
