We are so excited to invite you to join the 📍 STEM & Society Book Club, a new collaborative series hosted by UNC’s very own SACNAS, WHMC, and WinSPIRE organizations! 

This semester, we’ll be reading The Exceptions: Nancy Hopkins, MIT, and the Fight for Women in Science by Kate Zernike, a powerful and timely look at advocacy and culture shifts in STEM. This book club is open to everyone interested in STEM and a thoughtful discussion.

Dr. Tina Termini, Assistant Professor at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, will present the Keynote at the Atlas STEM Speaker Series, hosted by the Carolina Latinx Center and sponsored by SACNAS and AAPS sponsored by SACNAS and AAPS on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 6-8:30 pm in Kerr Hall 2001.

Join the UNC SACNAS Chapter for Churros and Hot Chocolate on Thursday, March 6th @ 6 pm in the Carolina Latinx Center. Come paint, relax, and learn about more events SACNAS will be planning this year!

Pizza to fuel your studying as we finish out the semester!

Everyone is invited to join us on Wednesday, November 20th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in Bondurant Hall 1074 for Pizza and Jarritos. Let’s catch up, do some studying, and enjoy some food!

Interested in Undergraduate Research? Join us on Wednesday, November 20th from 5:30-7:00 at Bondurant G100 for a workshop on research opportunities for undergraduates, focusing mainly on applying for summer research opportunities!

We will hear from knowledgeable sources who have worked on research within UNC. SACNAS will be happy to help answer any questions about research as well. Attend to connect with other people who are interested in research!

Light refreshments will be provided.

Hello everyone!

The UNC-CH SACNAS Chapter is hosting a Spring Social on the lawn of the Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower on Thursday, May 2nd @ 2 pm. We will be providing all materials to paint a plant pot and to plant a succulent. We invite you to join us for some succulent crafting, pizza from Amante, and ice cream from LocoPops.
