[OW DID AFRICAN AND AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES BEGIN AT
UNC??

To answer that question the department has invited back
to campus some of the student activists and faculty who worked to establish the
program over 40 years ago. They will be part of a panel that will take place on
October 14th, in Graham Memorial..
All are welcome.

Majors and Minors -- Please join us next Thursday April 8th in the Global Education Center (GEC) 2nd floor Atrium from 5-7 P.M. in celebrating the kick off of events celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Department of African and Afro-American Studies. All Department of African and Afro – American Studies majors and minors who sign who becomes fans on our page will be entered into a drawing to win the 8GB iPod nano. The drawing will be on April 1st at our faculty / student event (more details to follow) in addition, the first 50 majors/minors to sign up will receive a limited edition 40th anniversary water bottle.
