Hola CLC Familia! Another wonderful opportunity for all of you! We are looking to hire a temporary Program Assistant!

The Program Assistant for the Carolina Latinx Center supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and initiatives that foster engagement, leadership development, cultural awareness, and community building for UNC-Chapel Hill. This role provides administrative, logistical, and operational support for events, student programs, communications, and outreach efforts while helping create an inclusive and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. The Program Assistant collaborates closely with campus and community stakeholders to advance the Center’s mission through engagement, scholarship, public service, and advocacy.

We are looking for an applicant with a High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

The Carolina Latinx Center Associate Director (CLC-AD) fulfills an important part of the CLC’s mission of bridging the richness of Latinx communities with the strengths of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in research, teaching, and service. The Associate Director works closely with the director and staff to carry out the essential responsibilities of the Center such as: 1) program administration, 2) evaluation and assessment, 3) academic, campus, and community engagement, and 4) new and current partnership development.

Starting in June, Nestor is off to his next role at UNC Greensboro in the Office of Intercultural Engagement as their Assistant Director!

We are deeply grateful for his work at the Carolina Latinx Center as our Program Assistant since 2024 and wish him all the best in this next chapter. Nestor has been essential in our growth and we are both sad to see him go, and proud to see him grow!!
