50 Years with Bios - A special reception for Dr. PK Sen to recognize his over 50 years of service to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill took place October 16th at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center on the UNC campus in conjunction with the Conference on Nonparametrics in Modern Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in honor of Professor PK Sen and Professor Emeritus Dana Quade.

Biostatistics’ Li named to three-year term on NIH study section

Congratulations! Yun Li, PhD, associate professor of biostatistics at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, has been named a member of the Genomics, Computational Biology and Technology Study Section for the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Scientific Review.

Chong Jin and Rachel Nethery, doctoral students of biostatistics at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, have been awarded The American Statistical Association travel awards. The awards will support Jin and Nethery as they present original research at the 2017 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) to be held in Baltimore from July 29 to August 3.
