โ€œThe wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences.โ€ -Loris Malaguzzi
Images taken in a short period of time one morning this week capturing a few of the possibilities that the children were motivated to engage with and experience. It just so happened they were all choosing to work at tables from a myriad of choices.

๐ŸŽถ โ€œIf you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnicโ€

๐Ÿงธ Our Teddy Bears and other stuffed friends joined us for special picnics and yard games inspired by the song and book.

โ€œPlay residueโ€ is a term we heard recently from The Curiosity Approach. We always love discovering what is left from childrenโ€™s play, the residue of children thoroughly engaged in exploration, meaning-making, learning and joy. Hereโ€™s a look at some of our play residue of 2021. Happy 16 years of ECC!
