FINN U women’s softball had another
awesome season.

Denia Bent did not have a sophomore slump as she was named to the FastPitch News NCAA Division III Softball All-American first team.

Severe rainstorms have wreaked havoc for
Hancock and Houghton. Roads are under water
and / or gone. Houses have flooded basements or have been washed away.
The governor declared both
cities as disaster areas.
The daily mining gazette website has some pictures.
Finlandia and Tech sustained very little if any
damage.

Do you remember getting pizza delivered to the dorm? I remember it very well...Because I never
had the money to order one. I rarely eat pizza
and don’t even like the smell of it...
Well, there are still students who also could
use help getting enough to eat.
If you are a Costco member, you can order
food online and have it shipped for free if
you spend $75.00.
Soren Schmidt has set up a Student Needs Table for all students to get food and other supplies at no cost.
Gift cards for Walmart are also very helpful....
Walmart is located in Houghton and stocks
school supplies, fresh food, winter gear,
and personal supplies like toothpaste etc.
