It's never too early to think about your summer plans! This year, the UNC Center for European Studies is excited to host two study tours in the heart of Europe in the summer of 2026. Exploring the interplay between local, national, and supranational politics, the tours will provide K-16 educators from across the country with insider access to contemporary European politics, 30 professional development hours (per one week), and support integrating their tour experiences into classroom lessons.
See https://europe.unc.edu/brussels/ for more information; apply by October 31 for priority consideration!

✨applications now open for the MeetEU Filmmaker in Residence!✨
💻MeetEU.unc.edu/eu-filmmaker/💻
What: 6 month (virtual) residency to be completed at all three MeetEU institutions with an in-person visit to each location (PA, NC, FL) when travel is allowed.
Who: applicants must be based in an EU member state and hold citizenship. European citizens in the US are not eligible.
Interested candidates should submit a planned work outline describing a completed project or one in the final stages of production, and for which this virtual residency will be useful for promoting it and networking within the US.
The MeetEU universities share the goal of supporting EU artists and the development of their work in order to bring a greater understanding of the diversity and depth of society, politics, and culture in the EU to US citizens, especially the youth. By hosting a young, emerging filmmaker, we hope to inspire US youth to learn more about the EU and to support the important work being done by artists themselves.
