Statement for George Floyd
Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity is deeply saddened and angered by the senseless deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and too many others. We recognize these events reflect the systemic ingrained racial prejudice and injustice that still exists in the United States of America. Until black lives matter we cannot be considered a free society.
As an organization founded on the principles of brotherhood, service, and education, Alpha Chi Sigma stands with our brothers to condemn these acts of violence. Diversity makes our Fraternity and our communities stronger and violence against people of color is a sign of weakness not strength. Alpha Chi Sigma has increased our efforts to promote diversity, inclusion, and brotherhood and we will strive towards these ideals every single day.
Many of our members will never know what it is like to live life as a person of color. Alpha Chi Sigma challenges all of our members to listen, support, and aid our brothers by every honorable means to make our Fraternity and our country better.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to our two senior brothers: Alex Chu and Savannah Moody! Both were recently admitted into the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy for Class of 2024. Alex Chu intends to graduate in 2020 as a Biology BS with a minor in Chemistry. Savannah also intends to graduate in 2020 as a Chemistry BA with minors in Biology and Music. The Rho Chapter is proud to have such hard-working and dedicated members who are pursuing a career in the chemical sciences.

The Brothers of Alpha Chi Sigma, and our Service Chairs Violet Beaty and Megan Britt in particular, are very proud to present the first annual Kid's Mad Science Expo! This is a free event open to the public for children in kindergarten through 8th grade! This event is co-hosted by Kidzu Children’s Museum and AXS Rho Chapter (UNC's Professional Chemistry Fraternity). The expo is October 26th from 10:00am-12:30pm at the Kidzu Children’s Museum at University Place Mall (201 S Estes Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514)!
