🌳🍦💚 What a fantastic morning we had at our Popsicles in the Park event at Southern Community Park! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to join us. The morning was so filled with so much joy and laughter, we completely forgot to snap pictures! 📸 Seeing familiar smiles and welcoming new faces truly warmed our hearts.

Events like these are essential in strengthening our community, encouraging friendships, and creating lifelong memories. It was even wonderful for our newest chickens and bunnies to meet their new community! 🐇🐔

As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we're brimming with anticipation for all the fun-filled community events we have planned at our new campus. Here's to a year of learning, growth, and community! See you all soon. 💚🏫🎉

"Wine Down Wednesday" promises to be a fun evening filled with wine, gelato, live music until 8 PM, and delightful company. Did you know that the beautiful Great Blue Heron is a common sight in North Carolina? These fascinating birds can often be spotted near local water sources, gracefully hunting for fish. 🐟

At Little School on the Heel, we're proud to incorporate local wildlife into our curriculum! Our students learn about the Great Blue Heron and other native species through engaging activities and real-world observations, fostering their appreciation for nature and deepening their understanding of the environment. 📚🌳

🌿🌼 Teaching Tip Tuesday: Create Memory/Kindness Stones! 🏡🎨

Looking for a heartwarming and educational way to engage your little ones at home? Try this simple outdoor activity that will inspire kindness, creativity, and appreciation for nature:

💖 Memory/Kindness Stones 🌟
1️⃣ Go on a walk with your child and collect smooth stones or pebbles. (or you can buy some at an art or home improvement store)
2️⃣ Clean the stones and provide your child with non-toxic paint and brushes, paint pens, or permanent markers.
3️⃣ Encourage them to paint their favorite memories, kind messages, or colorful designs on the stones. (We cover ours in modge podge before they go outside)
4️⃣ Once the stones are dry, place them in the garden, around the house, or give them as gifts to spread love and positivity.

This activity not only promotes outdoor exploration but also helps develop empathy, artistic skills, and meaningful connections. Plus, it's a great bonding experience for the whole family! 🌟

Our students' memory stones will be sprinkled throughout the new playground to always remind us of the magic we shared together.
