Members of the Alumni Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (ACRED) made time for all things Carolina during their spring meeting March 26-27, 2026. The meeting highlighted UNC basketball legends, shared different ways to give to Carolina, featured student leaders and celebrated the 20th anniversity of the UNC American Indian Center. In addition, some members returned on Saturday, March 28, 2026 to volunteer for one of UNC's Admitted Student Days.

🎬 Join us tomorrow, March 5 for a powerful screening of The Disappearance of Miss Scott, a film about the life of jazz pianist and singer Hazel Scott. ✨ Featuring Adam Clayton Powell III, son of Hazel Scott. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion. This event is free, and open to all.

Members of the ACRED Asian American Subcommittee were delighted to welcome alumni, students, and friends to a Pop-Up Reunion Reception held prior to the 2026 Journey Into Asia presentation organized by the UNC Asian American Students Association on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Memorial Hall. The cultural showcase featured 13 individual and group performances from UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, and NC State University, along with special selections by guest artist Kavya Borra, a singer-songwriter and social media star.

Carolina ACRED member Raquel Hudson hosted a box for the 2025 CBS Sports Classic in Atlanta. The Tar Heel men won a close game against Ohio State, 71-70 and Chancellor Lee Roberts stopped by to visit with the group.
