Some moments just belong on a film camera. 📸🥹

We handed one to an Ambassador Teacher during Arrival Orientation and let him capture the week however he wanted.

The result? A camera full of candid smiles, new friendships, and the kind of memories that somehow feel even better on film.

BRB... we're officially bringing disposable cameras back. ✌️✨

When people with different experiences, expertise, and perspectives come together, good ideas have room to grow. ✨

That's exactly what Education NC captures in its feature on the NC Coalition for Global Education, a statewide network of partners working together to strengthen opportunities for North Carolina students.

We're thankful to have hosted one of the coalition's convenings and even more thankful to be one of many organizations contributing to the conversation.

Here's to the educators, nonprofit leaders, business partners, and community organizations helping shape what's next.

The article offers a closer look at the coalition, its purpose, and why so many people have chosen to be part of it. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4c1QLu4

We asked, and you answered. Challenge accepted. 😂👀

From airport welcomes and practical sessions to Paint and Sip, new friendships, and plenty of moments in between, this week was filled with memories this group will carry with them as they begin teaching in the U.S. over the next five years.

We did our best to fit it all into one recap!

✈️ If you've ever wondered what your own first week in the U.S. could look like, this is just a glimpse. We'd love to welcome you to a future Arrival Orientation. Learn more about becoming an Ambassador Teacher here: https://bit.ly/3UcWneI

Beach lovers, this one's for you! ☀️🏖️

We asked these Ambassador Teacher alumni to name their favorite place they traveled during their five years in the United States... and somehow, all three pointed to North Carolina's coast. 🌊🐚

Coincidence? Maybe. Great recommendations? Definitely.

If you're an Ambassador Teacher looking for one last summer getaway, you might want to add these to your list before beach season winds down!

Imagine all the things the students of these Ambassador Teachers are about to discover! 🌎

Ugali from Kenya. 🇰🇪 Traditions from Peru. 🇵🇪 Stories from Monterrey. 🇲🇽 Dance, food, and celebrations from Colombia. 🇨🇴

These four new Ambassador Teachers are already dreaming about what they'll share in their classrooms... and we can't wait to see everything they'll learn from their students and communities in return. That's what cultural exchange is all about! ✨🇺🇸

If you'd love to bring your own culture to classrooms in the United States while embracing life in America for five years, we invite you to take the next step and apply to the Ambassador Teacher program! ➡️ https://bit.ly/3UcWneI

Three teachers.
Three different stories.
One piece of advice. 😂

"So, please say yes too." 📢

We couldn't have written a better ending ourselves. 👏

Hear what inspired these Ambassador Teachers to say "yes"—and why they'd encourage other educators to do the same.
