What do an upcycled fashion show, a national award, 16 Teacher of the Year finalists, and a graduating class of Ambassador Teachers have in common?

They all found their way into this month's From Classroom to Career Round-Up.

If you're in the mood for a few inspiring stories, a look back at some meaningful moments from May, and a question we'd love your answer to, this edition is for you. 👉📰 https://bit.ly/4oaV6jy

Today feels like a good day to celebrate our partner schools. 💙

(Who are we kidding? That's every day around here. 🤭)

But today, we're adding a little extra confetti to the celebration. 🎉

Character.org recently recognized Global Leaders with a 2026 Promising Practice Award! 🏆

That recognition reflects the incredible work happening across the Global Leaders Network every day—and the partners featured here offer just a glimpse of what that looks like in action.

We'd love to spotlight every Global Leaders school, but we had to stop ourselves somewhere, or this carousel would have been 53 slides long. 🤣

➡️ Take a few minutes to meet the schools featured here.

Then, when you're ready for the next chapter, head to our blog to see what didn't fit into nine slides: https://bit.ly/3RPqhEL

Most school projects end when the assignment is submitted. This one brought together students, local artists, community organizations, and neighbors around a shared cause. ✨

Students at Madison Early College High School recently organized a fashion show supporting Beacon of Hope in Madison County, North Carolina. From event planning and promotion to design and community outreach, students took ownership of every step of the process.

💡 Through experiences like this, Global Leaders students build career-ready skills while learning how their ideas and actions can make a difference beyond the classroom.

🤝 Along the way, students strengthened skills such as communication, collaboration, leadership, creativity, project planning, and problem-solving—all while supporting families in their community.

That's what makes this project so special. It wasn't just about the event itself. It was about students learning by doing and seeing firsthand how their efforts can create a positive impact close to home.

✨ There are a few details behind this project that didn't fit in one Facebook post. Explore the full story: https://bit.ly/4nT28sT

A handful of basil, lettuce, and kale may seem small, but the lesson behind this harvest is anything but! 🥬💫

By growing and donating fresh produce to the Salvation Army,Grandview Middle School students experienced what it means to care for their community and take action to help others. 🌱💚

We love seeing Global Leaders come to life through projects that help students connect learning, service, and community. Way to go, Grandview Eagles! 🌎👏

Between the group poses, the laughing fits between takes, and the “okay wait, one more!” moments, these photos captured some very sweet send-off memories with the Ambassador Teacher Class of 2026. 💙

After five years together, there was a lot to celebrate—and a lot of moments worth saving to the camera roll forever. 🌎

It’s been a great time of conversations and connections at GASPA 2026 so far! 🌴📸👋

We’ve loved spending time with district leaders from across Georgia and hearing the thoughtful ideas being shared around teacher onboarding, mentorship, retention, and educator support here in St. Simons Island.

This afternoon, Cheryl Stidham and Rocio Aguilar will be leading a session from 1:30–2:15 p.m. focused on practical ways schools can help educators feel connected, encouraged, and supported long-term.

If you’re attending the conference, we’d love to see you there!

And afterward, come stop by the Participate Learning booth to say hello—and grab some international candy while you’re at it! 👀🍬

Seeing former students come back and pour into their school community like this is really special. 💛 As a Global Leaders school, Grandview is creating the kind of environment where students learn to lead, work together, and take initiative—and Mason’s project is such a meaningful example of those career readiness skills in action. So excited for the Lady Eagles to enjoy this space for years to come! 🦅🥎
