This semester’s Shuford Innovators in Residence series was one for the books ✨

From honest conversations and class visits to creative insight, financial empowerment, and storytelling around building bold careers, our Spring 2026 SIIRs brought so much wisdom to campus. We were grateful to welcome Neils Ribeiro-Yemofio, Yolanda Gardner, Ami Patel, and Kyle Villemain to share their journeys, pour into our students, and remind us what entrepreneurship can look like across industries and impact areas.

Thank you to every student, faculty member, and community partner who showed up, asked questions, and helped make SIIR’s week so special. This is exactly what the SIIR experience is about: connection, perspective, and learning from innovators who are building meaningful things in the world.

Shuford Innovators in Residence Week is back.
Since 2021, the Shuford Program has been bringing bold social innovators and entrepreneurs to campus for a full week of connection, candor, and community. Our SIIRs don’t just give a talk — they step into classrooms, host small group conversations, offer office hours, and share the real stories behind building mission-driven work.

This year, you’ll have the chance to learn directly from leaders who are creating impact across media, community arts, and social enterprise. Expect honest conversations about risk, resilience, creativity, and what it actually takes to build something that matters.
