Meet the Team:
Matthew Case serves as the Director of our Occupational Medicine Residency Program. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Family Medicine & Community Health Department at Duke University. Dr. Case is responsible for the health and well-being of both employees and many organizations based in the Research Triangle Park and surrounding areas. He oversees exposure assessments, identifies workplace hazards, and assists with risk management strategies to ensure safe work environments.

Meet the Team:
Xu Xu is an associate professor at North Carolina State University whose research mainly focuses on human motion data analysis and theoretical human biomechanical modeling with an emphasis on safety promotion. Dr. Xu teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to human factors and ergonomics, including Fundamentals of Human-Machine Systems Design, Occupational Safety Engineering, Occupational Biomechanics and Advanced Biomechanical Modeling. He also leads the Biomechanics Lab in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in which researchers use biomechanics to prevent occupational injuries and to improve working and living safety.
