March is National Social Work Month, and we would like to recognize and honor our incredible Special Education Social Workers for the meaningful impact they make in the lives of our students and families. Social workers are a vital part of the ancillary team within the Special Education Department, providing critical support that helps students succeed both academically and emotionally. They collaborate with educators and families, support students’ social-emotional development, assist with behavior and crisis intervention, connect families with community resources, and help remove barriers that may impact learning. Their dedication, compassion, and advocacy ensure that students receive the support they need to thrive in school and beyond. We are grateful for the commitment and care our Special Education Social Workers demonstrate every day in service of our students and community
