Today the 6th grade had their annual Roman Battle Royale! 🛡 6th grade classes formed legions, built shields, and worked together to create a battle strategy. The goal: be the driest team! Such a fun way to end the year! 🙌

🗣Shout out to the parents at home who helped their kids work on their shields! As your kids would say, you're the GOAT! 🐐 And a big shout out to Wendy Wawrzewski-Jones for putting this event together to give these kids an awesome end-of-year activity! 👏

7th graders are learning about the cattle drives that came through Kansas, so we had a little cowboy training yesterday! We learned how to tie the slip knot, square knot and two half hitch knot. They also got to try some bacon and beans (with a secret ingredient for them to guess), and finally the girls vs. boys competition of roppin’ some bulls!! 🐂🤠 Check out some videos in the comments!!!! ⬇️

We turned our room into an Army hospital tent during the Civil War today. The kids took turns role playing injured soldiers and the doctors and nurses who treated them. They also learned about the first system of triage. There was a lot of amputations, some survived but sadly we lost a few 😞

Afterwards we practiced our marching! Those of you who have kids in 5th hour should ask about the “suprise attack” that happen during our marching drill.
