Our amazing assistant principal, Jennifer Hutchinson, will be joining Lees Corner Elementary in the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. We are thrilled for Ms. Hutchinson as she embarks on her new leadership role, confident that she will bring the same dedication, commitment, and hard work she has shown throughout her thirteen years with us.

On behalf of the entire Brookfield Elementary community, we extend our congratulations to Ms. Hutchinson on her transfer and wish her the very best in her new role. We are proud of her accomplishments, grateful for her hard work and leadership.

This Friday was Bike/Walk/Roll to School Day! Thank you to all the students who joined in on the fun!

If possible, please avoid scheduling trips or appointments that would take your child out of school during this time. Our Pyramid Spotlight on Student Learning is coming soon! Bring the whole family and come check out the fantastic things our students are doing!

Students from all schools in the pyramid are sharing their learning related to Portrait of a Graduate attributes. Join us on April 25, 6-7:30 pm @ Franklin Middle School.

The Chantilly Pyramid is excited to host a Spotlight on Student Learning on April 25 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Franklin Middle School. This event will feature students from all schools in the pyramid sharing their learning related to Portrait of a Graduate attributes. There will be a teacher and student panel and a showcase of learning. We’ll also be giving away student-designed stickers! Families and students are welcome- see you there!

What a fantastic day our 3rd graders had at Colvin Run Mill! Thanks to all the dedicated parents, chaperones, and teachers who made this memorable trip possible. We hope our students had a great time and learned a lot!

Planning and design for the renovation of Brookfield Elementary School is underway, and we would like to hear from you. Join us for a community meeting on March 16 to learn more about the project and design process to date and share your views on the project and design process. Public feedback will be shared with the Fairfax County Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, School Board, and FCPS staff on the community’s current view of the project and design process. Please be aware at this stage in the design and construction process, no major changes may be made, but small adjustments may be considered.

The March 16 community meeting will be in the school cafeteria, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Language interpretation will be provided based on the availability of interpretation staff.

In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Week, February 13 – 17, Brookfield will host a Kindness Bingo challenge and Spirit Week. Random Acts of Kindness Week is an opportunity for students to focus on how spreading kindness makes the world happier. Students who get Bingo by completing activities to fill a row or column will receive a prize at the end of the week. Students can also participate in a Spirit Week led by Brookfield’s SCA.

Friday is our final day for Inclusive Schools Spirit Week. Show your Strengths and wear your workout clothes.

We respect and support our fellow classmates and recognize that individual differences are what make us special. We all have strengths that we contribute to our community. Come in your work out clothes and show off your strengths on Friday!

Wednesday is Unity in Spirit day during Inclusive Schools Week.

While we may all have different Brookfield spirit wear, we are all part of the same team at Brookfield! We are a diverse community, and that makes our school absolutely wonderful and unique! We work together to create a climate of inclusiveness and kindness. We are all linked together and connected in our purpose to make Brookfield an amazing school!

Tomorrow is Kaleidoscope Day (Tie Dye or Multiple Colors)

Tomorrow is the start of Inclusive School Spirit Week. Each day we will celebrate our inclusive schools with a different spirit day!

Kaleidoscope comes from two Greek words: kalos, meaning “beautiful,” and eidos, “shape.” Education takes on a beautiful shape when all children belong and are valued as contributing members of the school community.”

Due to the rain forecast, we will hold Movie Night inside the Brookfield Cafeteria! Please feel free to bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Tonight Friday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. be ready to rock out with your Brookfield Elementary family. The PTA proudly presents our Indoor Movie Night extravaganza. We will be showing Trolls World Tour. Snacks will be available for purchase at the event. Also, our amazing family liaison, Ms. Pace will have free coats available for families.
