Today some of our fifth and sixth-grade students went on a trip to Jamestown. Many thanks to our teachers, administrators, wonderful PTA, and "The Box Top King" for making this trip possible!
Today our 4th-grade classes showcased their museum exhibits.
Tonight is the last night for our Book Fair/STEAM Night. We are inviting students O-Z and anyone who has not yet attended. We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Book Fair/STEAM Night #1 was a huge success! It was great to see
all the families having fun, getting creative (and a little messy), and finding some great books together!

Tonight is Book Fair/STEAM Night #2. We are inviting students H – O to the book fair. (If that day does not work for you, feel free to come on the day that works best for your family.)

Our amazing assistant principal, Jennifer Hutchinson, will be joining Lees Corner Elementary in the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. We are thrilled for Ms. Hutchinson as she embarks on her new leadership role, confident that she will bring the same dedication, commitment, and hard work she has shown throughout her thirteen years with us.

On behalf of the entire Brookfield Elementary community, we extend our congratulations to Ms. Hutchinson on her transfer and wish her the very best in her new role. We are proud of her accomplishments, grateful for her hard work and leadership.

The Chantilly Pyramid is excited to host a Spotlight on Student Learning on April 25 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Franklin Middle School. This event will feature students from all schools in the pyramid sharing their learning related to Portrait of a Graduate attributes. There will be a teacher and student panel and a showcase of learning. We’ll also be giving away student-designed stickers! Families and students are welcome- see you there!

Brookfield Elementary Capital Project 03/07/2023

Planning and design for the renovation of Brookfield Elementary School is underway, and we would like to hear from you. Join us for a community meeting on March 16 to learn more about the project and design process to date and share your views on the project and design process. Public feedback will be shared with the Fairfax County Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, School Board, and FCPS staff on the community’s current view of the project and design process. Please be aware at this stage in the design and construction process, no major changes may be made, but small adjustments may be considered.

The March 16 community meeting will be in the school cafeteria, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Language interpretation will be provided based on the availability of interpretation staff.

In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Week, February 13 – 17, Brookfield will host a Kindness Bingo challenge and Spirit Week. Random Acts of Kindness Week is an opportunity for students to focus on how spreading kindness makes the world happier. Students who get Bingo by completing activities to fill a row or column will receive a prize at the end of the week. Students can also participate in a Spirit Week led by Brookfield’s SCA.

Tomorrow is Kaleidoscope Day (Tie Dye or Multiple Colors)

Tomorrow is the start of Inclusive School Spirit Week. Each day we will celebrate our inclusive schools with a different spirit day!

Kaleidoscope comes from two Greek words: kalos, meaning “beautiful,” and eidos, “shape.” Education takes on a beautiful shape when all children belong and are valued as contributing members of the school community.”

Tonight Friday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. be ready to rock out with your Brookfield Elementary family. The PTA proudly presents our Indoor Movie Night extravaganza. We will be showing Trolls World Tour. Snacks will be available for purchase at the event. Also, our amazing family liaison, Ms. Pace will have free coats available for families.
