Over the past couple of weeks, our students have been learning about cold weather habits of animals. We have learned about how birds migrate and squirrels adapt, while bears hibernate. Can’t wait to see what else they learn!

Happy Thanksgiving to our Chinmaya Blossoms family! We hope that everyone had a safe and fun holiday! We are very thankful for all of our teachers, students and families! Thanks to the parents of our students, our Thanksgiving party was a great success!

It’s been a “g”reat week, learning about community “h”elpers and about Diwali! This week, our students have been learning about the significance of Diwali and how good won against evil. We also started learning about different helpers in our community, such as firefighters, doctors, nurses, and police officers. It was fun to see some of them playing doctor, while others pretended to fight a fire in the kitchen set in their classes.

We have had lots of “f”un learning about the life cycles of apples and pumpkins! We also celebrated Navratri by making Devi masks! In preparation for Halloween, our students also made pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns.

We have been “d”elighted by the weather and “e”xcited about the changing colors outside! Students have been learning about both of these letters as well as how leaves change color and why. Some of our students also created ears of corn with some interesting supplies.

Our students are learning about the seasons and how the leaves change colors in the fall. Yesterday, we went on a nature walk to observe how a few of the trees have started changing from green to yellow, orange, and red. We also started learning about the letter “D” and the number “4”.

We have been “C”ing our way through the last week and learning about the weather, the life cycle of an apple, and about the seasons.

At the end of last week, we finished working on our “B” crafts. We found so many bears, balloons, and bees! Oh my!
