To entice students into a new high school club, organizers followed the strategy of other groups: they brought donuts. But this club at Chantilly High School is different.

Coding in action! 🤖💻

Our Middle School and Junior High students have been learning how to code Ozobots, and they’re having a blast putting their new skills to the test! From making their robots twirl and loop to sending them through tunnels and designing their own obstacle courses, there’s plenty of creativity happening in the STEM Lab.

Well, look who finally made it back from his VERY extended vacation… 👀🐯

After a few years away, Timothy the Tiger is BACK! Apparently, he heard about all the excitement happening at STS this year and decided it was time to come home!He’s rested, recharged, and ready to bring plenty of Tiger spirit to our students, events, House competitions, and more! Welcome back, Timothy, we’ve missed you!

We are grateful to Dr. Nicci Dowd for leading such an engaging and impactful professional development session. By better understanding the barriers some of our students may face, our teachers are even better equipped to create classrooms where all learners have the opportunity to thrive.

Back in the lab! Today, our second graders returned to the science lab for their first LabLearner activity of the new school year! Students put their science skills to work with the Balancing Teddy Bears activity, exploring the concepts of weight, mass, balance, and non-standard measurement. ⚖️🐻

Hands-on experiments make learning come to life.! We can’t wait to see what our young scientists discover in the lab this year! 🐯💛🖤

We had fun gathering after Mass at our Back to School Breakfast this morning! A special THANK YOU to Dunkin’ for generously sponsoring the donuts and helping us kick off the new school year with a sweet treat.

Our littlest Tigers get to join the fun next week, but this week, they had a special opportunity to visit Saint Timothy, meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and get a little more comfortable before their big first day.

We loved seeing their smiles and excitement as they got their first peek at all the fun waiting for them this year. We can’t wait to officially welcome our preschoolers on Monday and Tuesday!
