In honor of Veterans Day on Monday, EGMS is creating a display to honor the veterans within our school community. If you have family or friends that you would like honored, please provide us a photo along with any service information you would like to include as a caption for the photo.

October flew by! At EGMS, in addition to our regular Montessori lessons, we were busy learning about pumpkins, spiders, bats, and fall. We made art projects, enjoyed making jack-o-lanterns, and had our class Halloween parties.

Another year of trunk-or-treat fun! Thank you to all the parents who participated and joined the fun. 🎃👻

In honor of Veterans Day, EGMS is collecting donations for Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude proudly delivers care packages to deployed troops, veterans, military children, recruit graduates, and first responders.

If you would like to participate in the collection drive, donations can be dropped off at the EGMS office. Please refer to the Wishlist provided by Operation Gratitude for care package items. The collection drive ends on November 26, 2024.

September was a busy month for EGMS children. They have been practicing their grace & courtesy lessons, while also working with a variety of Montessori lessons, and creating art projects.

We had a special visit from a musician who has travelled the world collecting various instruments to share with us. Some of the instruments we experienced included a Native American drum, a bullroarer, kalimba, didgeridoo, various conches, Peruvian whistling vessels, a pan flute, and more. We had fun doing freeze dances and also watching him juggle!

Summer Carnival Part 1

This weekend, EGMS will be celebrating the 154th anniversary of Maria Montessori's birth—a trailblazer whose ideas transformed education.

Maria Montessori left an indelible mark on the world. Her educational methods have nurtured the countless children across generations, shaping them into independent, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals.

As our summer is coming to an end, EGMS would like to thank all of our families who have been part of the East Gate Montessori School family these past 10 years. It has been a pleasure to work with such a wonderful community, thank you for all of the love and support!
