🎉🎉 Lotería Night at New Horizons FAM! 🎉🎉

What a wonderful evening celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with our New Horizons families! ❤️💚🤍 Our PTO did an amazing job bringing our community together for a fun night of lotería, laughter, and family memories!

Celebrating Hispanic heritage is about more than honoring traditions; it’s about helping our students see their cultures, families, and stories represented and valued in their school community. When students see their heritage celebrated, they are reminded that who they are and where they come from are important. ❤️ We are proud to create opportunities for our students to learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the rich cultures that make our community so special!

A HUGE thank you to our PTO for organizing this special event and to all of our parents and families who came out to participate and support our students. Your involvement makes a difference, and we are grateful to have such a supportive school community! 🐻💜🩵

🧹💙 Happy National Custodians Day! 💙🧹

Today, we celebrate the incredible custodians who work behind the scenes every single day to keep our school clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff.

Your hard work often happens when no one is watching, but we see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for everything you do! From the early mornings to the long days, your dedication makes a difference in our school community.

As a principal, I have a special appreciation for the work our custodians do. My mother is a custodian, so I have personally seen the pride, sacrifice, and dedication that goes into this important work. I understand that being a custodian is so much more than cleaning a building—it is taking pride in the place where our children learn and our staff work each day.

To our amazing custodial team: Thank you for all that you do for New Horizons! We are truly blessed to have you as part of our school family.

📚 September Attendance Update

Every Day Matters at New Horizons!

Dear New Horizons Families,

We need your help! Students need to be at school every day so they can participate in daily Tier 1 instruction that follows a specific pace and builds from one lesson to the next.

Our campus also provides intervention services each day to help students stay on track and at grade level. When students miss school, they miss important instruction and support, which can cause educational gaps to grow larger.

When your child is healthy and able to attend, please make every effort to get them to school every day. Consistent attendance gives students the best opportunity to learn, receive intervention, stay on grade level, and reach their goals.

It was so great seeing all of our New Horizons students out there celebrating and showing their school spirit! Our Cub pride was on full display as New Horizons represented with all four of our RCA Houses! 🦁🦚🐍🐺

Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on, and helped make the parade such a special event. We are proud to be New Horizons! 💜🩵

Parents make sure to buy a corn in the cup in the car rider line each Wednesday. All proceeds go directly to our students via the PTO.
