The mission of Families of Faith Christian Academy or FOFCA, is to partner with our parents and develop the whole child spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally. We believe that the quality of education offered to our children today will greatly impact the quality of life they enjoy tomorrow. We aim for an education that is both excellent and well-rounded. d that education is not merely an end, but connects integrally to the larger purpose of conveying “the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18) to our world. As such, we all share the tremendous responsibility of educating the next generation of leaders and guides. Additionally, we acknowledge the power and necessity of leading by example. Our teachers focus on building personal relationships with our students and modeling genuine love for and commitment to Christ, educating both by words and by example. Families of Faith Christian Academy began in 2005 as a ministry of First Baptist Church. The church established the school with a passion to provide a quality Christian education for the children in the community and share the good news of Jesus Christ with students and their families. The school began with four teachers and 64 students meeting in classrooms of the church. The church and school share the facilities at 24466 W Eames Street in Channahon. The facility includes a full size gymnasium, baseball fields and football / soccer field. FOFCA enrollment is open to students who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior as well as students who have not. All students have daily Bible class and weekly chapel services. Through the ministry of the school, students have gained a knowledge and appreciation of Christian values and the Bible in addition to an outstanding academic foundation. Families of Faith Christian Academy continues to shape the future by helping students to develop a love for learning and a commitment to honoring God in their daily lives.
