I'm reading Facebook posts from people bragging that they'd kill a home invader if given a chance.

Not me. I'm going to keep myself and my family safe, and leave the garbage collection to the the guys with badges, vests, dogs, radios, backup, and almost unlimited protection against personal liability.

Confronting a home invader when you don't have to is a stupid idea: even if you win, you lose.
And bragging about who you'd kill on Facebook? Even stupider.

The next Minnesota Permit to Carry class will be held IN PERSON on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m in Delano.

The next Minnesota Permit to Carry class will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.. This class will be taught online, with an in-person shooting exercise on Sunday, January 31 (approximate shooting times will staggered over the morning to avoid too much waiting around at the range) in Chanhassen.

The cost of the class is $135 when you register in advance. Renewals are just $99.

You'll be responsible for your own range fee (less than $20) as well as the cost of ammunition (30 rounds). If you'd like to attend, you can register and pay online at www.mngun.com.

About My Online Classes

In the age of COVID, I now offer some classes online. These are the same full-length, in-person classes that I offer in the classroom.
To participate in these classes, you must have an internet connection, a camera, and a microphone. Although you can use a mobile phone, a tablet or computer will probably be more comfortable for you.

Full participation is required. If you're not tuned in, I can't in good conscience certify you for a carry permit. Online classes still require an in-person shooting qualification. These will be scheduled on one of several weekend days, to avoid crowding and waiting at the range.
