I've had hundreds of guitar & bass students over the last 14 years. Some take lessons for a short time, while others are still with me since the beginning. My students are like a second family, and I am absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of my bass student and friend - Bob Demar. He was a father, a retired USAF officer and a wonderful guy. A little over a week ago we were having a blast working on a Jack White song together. I am still in shock that when I walk out of my studio when it's time for his regular lesson on Thursday, he won't be sitting there waiting, smiling with bass in hand. Bob, you'll be greatly missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

It's always a treat to work on the Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of the Stevie Wonder tune with a bass student. One of the greatest cover songs out there -and one of the first songs I learned to play on bass many moons ago.
