Paragon Science Academy Paragon Science Academy is an A-rated public charter school focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and college-preparation.

We are a free, public charter K-12 school with a small-school atmosphere and emphasis in STEM education. Our staff members have worked together for many years, and have created a sense of community between students, families, and staff. emy is focused on STEM education -- science, engineering, technology and math -- and college prep, with instruction in writing and the arts, and opportunities for healthy physical activity. We offer a learner-centered education with an emphasis on outcomes, visual aids, and technology integrated education. Our school was rated an "A" school by the Arizona Department of Education. Our nationally ranked robotics team competes in the FIRST Robotics championships. We also participate in statewide and national math, science and art competitions, and emphasize skill-level education with individualized instruction. We emphasize a scientific approach, hands-on work, computer literacy and the ability of students to use data and articulate a thesis.

We are excited to begin our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for the new school year. Our first PAC meeting is scheduled for September 4 at 11:00 a.m.

PAC is a wonderful opportunity for parents to become more involved in our school community and support initiatives such as fundraising events, staff appreciation activities, community partnerships and sponsorships, and other efforts that strengthen our Panther community.

We are very excited to share another wonderful achievement with you!

One of the SSMP (Sonoran Schools Mentorship Program) students, Noor Hassan, one of our seniors, has earned multiple Congressional Award certificates and a Bronze Medal! She will soon have the opportunity to attend a medal ceremony with a Congressman in Arizona.

The Congressional Award is the highest honor for youth presented by the U.S. Congress. The program has several levels of achievement, and Noor has successfully completed the requirements for the Bronze Medal and is now eligible to pursue the Silver Medal. She plans to apply for the Silver Medal next month and hopes to highlight this accomplishment in her college applications.

Noor has completed an incredible number of hours:

Volunteer Service: 183 hours
Personal Development: 445 hours
Physical Fitness: 104 hours
Noor beautifully described what SSMP has meant to her:

“Joining SSMP in 9th grade was very life-changing for me. I became more confident in myself and learned how to become a leader. Throughout this journey, I loved learning new skills, trying new things, and, most of all, giving back to the community. While I faced many challenges along the way, I overcame them because I refused to give up. Being in SSMP has given me the chance to make so many beautiful memories.

A huge thank you to Ms. Asli for never giving up on me and for making sure that I did not give up on myself. So, to the people reading this: Whenever you feel like giving up, always tell yourself that you are a leader and that you can overcome any challenges you face.”

I am proud of Noor and all the dedication, perseverance, and leadership she has demonstrated throughout her SSMP journey. Her achievement is a wonderful example of what commitment and service can accomplish.

We are excited to invite our 9th–12th grade students who are interested in joining Paragon’s Varsity Basketball Team to participate in our upcoming Open Gym.

🏀 Open Gym – Varsity Basketball
Date: Tuesday, August 25 | Wednesday, August 26
Time: 3:45–5:15 p.m.
Grades: 9–12
Location: Paragon Gym

Interested students are encouraged to attend and demonstrate their basketball skills, teamwork, effort, and commitment. Following the Open Gym sessions, students will be selected for Paragon’s Varsity Basketball Team.

We are excited to share an additional after-school basketball opportunity for our students. The basketball program is an opportunity designed to provide students with additional practice, skill development, teamwork, and structured basketball activities.

The program is scheduled to meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30–4:45 p.m., August 26 through November 19. (Grades 3–8 only)

The cost of the basketball club is $100 per month.

If you are interested in having your child participate, please complete the club interest/registration form that will be sent out tonight. Once you complete the form, you may submit your payment using the link below:

🎓 Once a Panther, Always a Panther! 🐾

We were proud to welcome Metin, a Class of 2025 alumnus, back to Paragon! Metin is currently studying Economics at Carnegie Mellon University and visited several classes to share valuable advice and personal experiences about college, high school, AP exams, GPA, joining clubs, and making the most of the high school experience.

A special thank-you to Metin’s former teachers for the support, encouragement, and guidance they provided throughout his journey. He remains grateful for his teachers and proud of his accomplishments, including successfully completing his AP courses! 👏

We love welcoming our alumni back to campus to inspire and connect with the next generation of Panthers. Thank you, Metin, for giving back to your Paragon community!
