Excavation day! Yesterday I gave the boys their own small Tupperware container and asked them to fill it with 5 small items. They chose toys & coins. I added water to the containers and froze them overnight. This morning I sent them outside with their mystery ice blocks and tools and they quickly became paleontologists.
Another morning for learning except today the boys woke up and told me they didn’t want to learn…so I said ok and we played a game. In their eyes they were playing and having fun and from my perspective they were learning. And really how I try to make most learning experiences.
P.S. when I told Ryder I tricked him and they were really learning he ran over to Austin yelling “We’re actually learning, we’re actually learning!” 😂
If your kiddo loves dinos and you have Dino toys, try this game!!
Modifications:
1. Choose which video fits your child’s age and maturity level. The Pinkfong videos on YouTube are songs for younger ages and the Jurassic world video is for a little more mature.

Day #1 of Mommy School! They helped me make the schedule so they feel in control. Lots of snack and free choice opportunities. Also, really reigning in my OCD over here in order to let them make some messes 😬 Listening to their favorite music or movie soundtracks keeps them engaged in the projects as well!
