With Thanksgiving and the holiday season around the corner and many years gone by since the last post on this page, we wanted to share that not a day or week goes by, where the impact and love that St Mary’s Academy had on our lives is not felt.

Thank you for the gifts of love, safety, education, awareness, respect, gentleness, joy, laughter, fun, and even moving through life’s more difficult challenges that were taught to us through the amazing teachers, staff, parents, and students.

That experience is in our hearts and will stay with us, forever.

This year’s Bazaar is postponed.

At this time, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 St. Mary’s Bazaar. This was not an easy decision, but we believe it is the right one to keep everyone safe so that we can celebrate at a later date.

We have *tentatively* scheduled a St. Mary’s Church Appreciation Day for August 30th. On this date, we will continue to hold the Tractor Pull with limited festivities and food on the bazaar grounds. The car show and parade have been canceled for this year. This event will be subject to social distancing guidelines and policies of the State of New York at the time.

We also plan to hold our annual raffle to be drawn on August 30th. We will include a virtual payment option for those wishing to participate. Please stay tuned for more information to come as we finalize prizes for the raffle.

We hope you will join us when the time is right. Until then, we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy!

It is with great sadness that we learned that Sister Cordata passed away on Wednesday June 19, 2019 in Watertown.

Our hearts are hurting but the time and love that she shared with us is in our hearts.

Sr. Marie Cordata Kelly, 80, Sisters of St. Joseph passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Rochester General Hospital.

We know and feel that St Mary’s Academy is still so special in our hearts.
Why is that, you ask?
For me, because there was chaos in my life as a child, this was a safe place, where I was loved and accepted for who I was and given a chance to grow into the best I could be with God’s guidance.

Sister Cordata and the teachers/staff got that. Thank you so much!!

It is on days like this, with everyone back in school, that I remember the children, teachers and parents living the love and blessings that we all felt at St. Mary's Academy!!!

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, relax and feel that again in your heart!!!
