Have you ever aimed farther right trying to hit a draw, only to watch the ball curve even farther right?

Your setup may be working against you.

In this week’s video, I explain three small adjustments that can change your ball flight without forcing you to rebuild your golf swing:

• Ball position
• Top-hand grip
• Driver tee height

You do not need to move the ball several inches or dramatically change your alignment. Sometimes, moving the ball one dimple or slightly adjusting your tee height is enough.

Watch the video and tell me which adjustment you plan to test first: https://youtu.be/-ExM323zb18

Here is a challenge for your next round: Track your scores on the par 3s and par 5s separately.

These eight holes may be affecting your final score more than you realize. Many recreational golfers become too aggressive on par 3s and fail to take advantage of the opportunities available on par 5s.

I explain why these holes deserve their own category in my recent GOLF.com article:

https://golf.com/instruction/four-golf-stats-pay-attention-shoot-lower-scores/

After your round, answer this question: How many shots did you lose to par on the par 3s and par 5s?

If that number surprises you, customized coaching can help you improve both your skills and your on-course decisions:

The Four Numbers That Matter

Playing more golf does not automatically lead to better scores.

If you don’t understand where your shots are being lost, you may continue reinforcing the same mistakes every time you play.

In my recent article for GOLF.com, I explain four statistics that can reveal what is really happening during your rounds—and where your best opportunities for improvement may be.

Read the article:
https://golf.com/instruction/four-golf-stats-pay-attention-shoot-lower-scores/

Which of these four statistics do you currently track? Let me know in the comments.

Are you swinging too hard?

Many golfers believe they must swing at 100% to create more distance. In reality, that extra effort often leads to poor balance, inconsistent contact, and a clubface that is difficult to control.

In this month’s blog, I explain why swinging at approximately 80% can help you:

• Find the center of the clubface more consistently
• Improve your balance and tempo
• Create a better swing sequence
• Hit longer, straighter golf shots

Swinging at 80% is not about being timid. It is about creating controlled, repeatable power.

Read the full blog and discover why less effort could produce better results:

If your golf swing looks violent or leaves you off balance, there is a good chance you are simply swinging too hard.

On the 16th hole of the Cascades Course at the Omni Homestead Resort, I had approximately 135 to 140 yards with wind coming off the mountain. Instead of forcing my normal 8-iron, I took one more club and made a smooth 80% swing.

The result? A shot directly at the flag and a birdie opportunity.

In this week’s video, I explain why an 80% golf swing can improve your balance, tempo, contact, and consistency. Watch the lesson, then try it during your next round.

Want to make an immediate positive change to your golf game?

Stop swinging out of your shoes.

A smooth 80% golf swing can help you stay balanced, maintain your tempo, and make more solid contact. Watch this quick tip and try it on your next shot.

Hardpan doesn’t need to be complicated.

Take one more club, move the ball to the middle of your stance and make a controlled swing through the golf ball.

Watch this quick demonstration and save the tip for the next time your ball finds a bare patch.
